meet
Dr. Kimberly N. Works

Kimberly N. Works, MD, FAAP; who is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Certified Lactation Counselor, brings high-quality and personalized pediatric care to “little ones” and adolescents. Four years after her residency, she decided to open Pediatric Works because she was frustrated with the impersonal corporate approach to health care that caused feelings of uncertainty in its future. She decided it was time to go back to practicing medicine the way it used to be, with a focus on the personal relationship between the patient and the doctor.

Through Pediatric Works, her Concierge/Direct Primary Care practice, Dr. Works has created a warm environment that focuses on patient wellness and safety by offering a wider range of services within the office. This includes same-day appointments, direct after-hours access, the dispensation of common medications, routine lab work, telemedicine, home visits, mental health support, and more. With consideration and understanding that every patient and family situation is unique, Dr. Works strives to be a trusted resource for information, care, and compassion.

Dr. Works also serves as a Medical Officer for the CISA (Clinical Immunization Assessment Safety) Program within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) organization. She works alongside other physicians who have devoted their time to providing comprehensive vaccine safety, specifically vaccines for COVID-19, to the nation. She stays up-to-date with the latest information involving hospital medicine by working as a hospitalist for the HCA Healthcare System.

In addition to her work with the clinic, Dr. Works served as Vice-Chair of the Pediatrics Department for a Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, where she was previously employed. She is an advocate for healthy living, practicing mindfulness, and improving self-esteem. As a youth, she struggled with dyslexia and that experience allows her to connect on a deeper level with others. Supporting mental and physical health is dear to her heart

When she’s not working, Dr. Works volunteers on mission trips and is a member of medical leadership organizations. Dr. Works is also an avid runner. She was on the track and field team at Milton High School (Alpharetta, GA) and was granted an athletic scholarship to South Carolina State University. She truly enjoys being outside running, biking, and hiking. Dr. Works also isn’t afraid to admit that she spoils her child, Lola, her Golden Lab!

meet Ana Cristina

Ana Cristina Giron or “Cristy” is the background multitasker of Pediatric Works. She joined Pediatric Works one year after its grand opening and has become a true staple.

Born in Guatemala and raised in Miami, she can communicate fluently in Spanish and English. Ana finished high school while attending college classes, which taught her the value of good organizational and multitasking skills. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Florida International University in Interdisciplinary Studies. During her time there, she applied herself to a variety of studies, including interpersonal communication and world relations. This has allowed her to develop a deep sense of customer relations with a proactive attitude.

In her spare time, she completed a 900km hike across Spain, called Camino de Santiago, within 36 days. After that, she spent a year in Frankfurt, Germany, immersing herself in the culture and learning the language. Cristina hopes to complete an Iron Man Triathlon in the year to come and we can’t wait to cheer her on!
